The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Indra Gopal High School on 26th January 2020. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “ India”. The event began at 9:00 am with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by our honourable Chairman followed by the National Anthem. The students of 4 houses – juniors and seniors, marched in their colourful house uniforms rhythmically to the patriotic tunes.
Honourable Chairman Sir in his address highlighted the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of their country lies in their hands. Hence they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country. A speech was given by our respected Head Mistress encouraging the students for their future. The program started with a welcome dance by the senior students followed by drill and dance of junior classes. All the students performed their best, students of higher classes gave inspiring speeches on republic day and about our freedom fighters.
The program came to an end with the vote of thanks given by our Head Teacher and few refreshments were there for the students. Indra Gopal High School celebrated the Republic Day in a grand way with inspiring speeches and motivation.
